April Wrap up!

Hello there, Smartsouls! How have you been? I'm doing just fine. In today's post, I will share the books that I enjoyed in April, and recommend. So, let's dive right into it.

Books:

Indistractable: How to control your attention and choose your life by Nir Eyal, Julie Li:

This book talks about the ill effects that technology, our phones, and the urge to procrastinate have on our lives. It is a guide on how to stay focused and not be distracted in this noisy world, where every other thing is constantly trying to play with our psyche to grab our attention.

This book does have many essential tips and advice that I implemented in my own life and saw as it reaped the fruits. I would rate it 3.5/5. It could have been shorter.

And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini:

This author man! He is my favorite author, I have read all of his books except The "Sea Prayer", which I plan on reading ASAP. Even though I love all of his books, this one takes the cake for me.

It builds out from the relationship between Abdullah and Pari, and their father's decision to sell Pari to a wealthy couple in Kabul, and all the stories in this book just branch out from this event.

I'm amazed by how everything links together and makes complete sense in the end. It is sad and emotional, but boy, it's worth it. 5/5*****.

The Magic Drum and Other favorite stories by Sudha Murthy:

It is a collection of short stories with various morals. It's easy to read and follow, especially, when you have a low attention span. Give it a go if you want to build a reading habit. I would rate it as 3/5. It was better than I expected.

Autopsy by Donte Collins:

It was written after the death of the poet's mother. It's a 72-page long collection and though I didn't love it much, it intrigued me. 3.5/5.

That would be all for today, I was quite busy in April and didn't do anything else but read. Do share what you tried and want to try in the comment section below, thank you ;)

Don't miss out on my January, February, and March wrap-ups.
