If you think that to be successful you have to "be on the right track right now", then I have got news for you: that advice is incorrect.
In today's post, I will let you in on the truth about 'having it all figured out'.
In this day and age, where everyone emphasizes on knowing what you are doing or being on the right path, it's easy for a young, passionate person to fall prey to this lie, often disguised as the key to success.
From a young age, we are advised to have a goal and to know where want to go, specifically, when we are in our 20s we are swamped with irreversible life choices that we need to make. However, these choices cause us the paradox of choice. I have already published a post about that, if you have missed it, click here.
Basically, the paradox of choice is a phenomenon, where we are presented with many choices that we end up making none. We are paralyzed to make a choice.
It's an infamous truth that no one has it all figured out, if someone claims to have it all perfectly planned, either they are lying, or are ignorant of reality.
When we are in our 20s, it is recommended to explore the world around us. Don't restrain yourself to a certain something and stick to it like a leech to whatever you have decided in high school. New experiences pour knowledge into the jelly in our heads, with more knowledge it will get easier to avoid the paradox of choice.
It is very important to note that there is a very minute difference between being persistent and being a bonehead. The grey is not easily visible, however, with wisdom comes clarity.
Conclusion:
There you have it: a lie about your 20s that you needed to know. You may have fallen into the spell-binding words of media.
But, as you read about it, having your life figured out is a lie, and in your 20s you must focus on gaining more experience.
Someone recommended that when you are in your 20s focus on making money and expanding your knowledge, not on creating a passive income AKA investing.
Now, I want to turn it over to you:
What do you think about this lie?
