Opinionated: "Makeup"

Hello, smartypants. Welcome back to my blog or welcome to my blog if it's your first time reading my post.
In this series called "Opinionated", I would be sharing my opinion (without any research) about a certain thing[no offense], and you guys can share yours in the comment section. This series is to widen our perspective and know various kinds of mindsets. Remember the most unique opinion will be featured in the next "opinionated" blog post.

So, let's begin,

Makeup, in my opinion, is just a combo of chemicals that people apply to enhance their beauty, despite their gender.
But, unfortunately, somewhere along the lines, people have forgotten that it's just a few chemicals, not a basis of judgment.

I hate makeup, but I don't hate someone just because they have applied makeup. It's your choice whether to apply it or not. Although, in my opinion, makeup is seen more as a necessity than a choice. I received a lot of hatred just because I attend parties and functions without makeup, which is wrong in many perspectives.

8 out of 10 girls[estimation] apply makeup just to fit in, these girls too don't like wearing makeup but they reluctantly apply because they can't withstand the hatred anymore.

The hate or mean comments which I received for not applying a few chemicals on me by not being insecure about how I look are:
1) You don't have makeup? I will lend mine if you can't afford it.
2) You may not have the skills, let me apply some for you.
3) Were you forced to attend this party? Then why haven't you dressed up?
4) You must apply makeup or else people might think you are dumb.
And so on...

Well, I honestly won't blame them for having such a mindset because social media have increased the value of makeup. A girl who can apply perfect makeup is a happy, skilled, well-manners, smart girl whereas a girl who can't apply makeup is dumb, poor, unskilled.
What do you expect then? At the cost of one branded makeup kit, I can buy
10 books.

I'm not saying this is the case for every girl. There are girls who praise me as well, like:
1) You look classy.
2) Simple and beautiful.
3) Ik that you would rather read a book than try to apply the perfect winged liner.
and so on...But in any case, I would do what I want to do. I couldn't care less about whether people think I'm rich or poor, smart or dumb.

To conclude, in my opinion, makeup is just a choice, not a necessity nor a basis for judgment nor it is something that only girls should apply.
