breaking down the educational myth.

"Seek knowledge from cradle to grave." -prophet Muhammad

The greatest myths about education are:

1. Education is everything.

2. If you don't attend school you won't be successful.

3. Marks represent your knowledge.

But I believe, education isn't everything.

Before you guys start bombarding your opinions on me, let me clarify that I'm not saying education isn't important, I'm just saying education isn't everything. Nowadays parents are just focusing on studies, and not focusing on what the child wants to do. They are making a big deal about studies, marks, and jobs.

Not just parents but also teachers, they believe that marks represent the amount of knowledge I/we have. No, you dammit, marks only represent my memory power. The toppers are the kids who can memorize the answer and "dullers" are the people who have no interest in memorizing or just can't.

Education limits our imagination, they brainwash our brains to think in a particular way.

Out of 100% toppers, only 20% toppers actually understand the context, the rest of them just byheart the answer, without knowing the meaning.

The whole education system must be updated and rebooted. It is so tangled up and frustrating.

Many students attempt suicide just because they believe marks are everything and their parents just pressurize them to learn.

Education is just a way to make life easier or to learn a profession.

I solely believe that you need the knowledge to be successful, or earn money. you don't need education. We acquire knowledge from everywhere, but the only necessity is the desire to learn.

One of the reasons for unemployment is people only see the result, they only crave the result, for instance, salary. They just want to earn few bucks. They couldn't care less about the process. Enjoy the process of doing things not the result.

As I mentioned earlier that education isn't everything, that doesn't mean you should be an illiterate or drop-out. Be literate enough to read and comprehend text.

Playing, or doing other activities is as crucial as education. Don't give up on the things that you enjoy doing just for education or exams.

I do various activities on a daily basis only because I enjoy the process of doing them, not the result. I never think about whether that might be useful or not, be it monetary or not. Because I'm a human being, not a machine to follow a particular routine and repeat the same tasks every day. I have various moods on various days. Depending upon my mood, I do the activities that make me feel better.

The fun fact is that an illiterate is more knowledgeable than a literate.

There are so many things that are messed up, but the most dangerous mess is making students believe that their success in life is decided by the marks they score. Which is a myth. A myth that is killing dreams and people.

Let's break it together.
